A rare species of the San Pedro family, originating from Bolivia, and discovered by Friedrich Ritter. Very few if any are still growing in the native habitat, making this plant quite rare. Trichocereus Scopulicola exhibits a very thick growth habit, no spines with furrowing above, dark green flesh, considered sacred by indigenous people in the area, and renowned for its medicinal properties.
