Peruvian Torch – ‘Sharxx Blue’

A rare cultivar from the San Pedro family, originating from Matucana, Peru but was hybridized and cultivated from Dawsons Cactus Collection in 1933 then distributed by Shaman Australia Botanicals member Sharxx. 

Featuring a beautiful bright blue color caused by large amounts of glaucous wax (adaptation to protect from the sun like sunscreen), short spines, thick growth habit, considered sacred by indigenous people in the area, and renowned for its medicinal properties. 

This specimen features three pups and stands 48” tall .
